EVERY GREAT CURLER STARTS SOMEWHERE.

Whether you’re stepping onto the ice for the very first time,

introducing your child to a new sport or looking to develop your curling skills,

the Chilliwack Curling & Community Centre offers opportunities to discover everything curling has to offer.

Curling is more than a winter sport. It’s an activity that brings people together, encourages teamwork, develops confidence and creates friendships that can last a lifetime.

With programs designed for different ages, abilities and experience levels, we aim to make learning the game enjoyable, welcoming and rewarding.

From our youngest participants in Little Rockers to our developing Junior curlers, adult Learn to Curl sessions and private group experiences, there’s a place for everyone on the ice.

No matter your age or experience, your curling journey can start right here.

LITTLE ROCKERS

Little Players. Big Fun. A Great Start on the Ice.

Our Little Rockers program introduces younger children ( ages 7-11 ) to the exciting world of curling in a fun, supportive and encouraging environment.

Designed to help children become comfortable on the ice while learning the basic elements of the game, Little Rockers focuses on participation, confidence and enjoyment rather than competition.

Through age-appropriate activities and instruction, young curlers begin developing coordination, balance, teamwork and an understanding of how curling is played.

What Young Curlers Can Expect

  • Introduction to the basic rules and objectives of curling
  • Learning how to safely move and participate on the ice
  • Developing balance, coordination and basic curling movements
  • Introduction to delivering stones and sweeping
  • Fun games and activities that encourage participation
  • Opportunities to make friends and develop teamwork skills
  • A positive environment where learning and having fun come first

Building Confidence Through Sport

Little Rockers is about much more than learning how to curl. It’s an opportunity for children to develop confidence, practice good sportsmanship and discover the enjoyment of being part of a team.

Our goal is to provide a positive first experience that encourages young participants to continue exploring the sport as they grow.

Program ages, schedules, registration details and fees are provided with each season’s program information.

JUNIOR CURLING PROGRAM

Building Skills. Developing Confidence. Creating Future Curlers.

Our Junior Curling Program provides young people ( ages 11-18 ) with the opportunity to build on their curling skills, gain experience and develop a greater understanding of the game.

Whether participants are relatively new to curling or looking to improve their abilities, the program encourages personal development, teamwork and good sportsmanship in a supportive environment.

Junior curling helps young athletes develop not only their technical abilities but also the communication, decision-making and strategic thinking that make curling such a unique sport.

  • Developing proper sweeping techniques
  • Understanding curling rules, scoring and game etiquette

More Than Just a Game

Curling offers young people an opportunity to challenge themselves, work together and develop friendships in an environment that values participation and personal growth.

As their skills progress, junior curlers can gain a deeper appreciation of the game and explore opportunities to become more involved in recreational or competitive curling.

Program eligibility, schedules, fees and registration information are available through the club.
